Our Story

We're two brothers who started Kuro to create essentials for people like us — people who work hard, dream big, and care about the details. Every bag we design is a reflection of our journey: thoughtful, precise, and full of meaning. Kuro isn’t just about what you carry — it’s about what you carry within.

This is how it all began.

The Spark

Looking back, design was always in our DNA. As kids, we were sketching out ideas in the margins of school books, and fixing things just to make them better. We didn’t know it at the time, but that curiosity would one day turn into our craft.

Kuro started with that same spirit — a simple desire to create essentials that not only look good, but feel right. Thoughtfully designed for people who work hard, chase ideas, and pay attention to the details.

More than a bag

Kuro means “black” in Japanese — a color that to us represents clarity, strength, and simplicity. But it also symbolizes the darkness many people go through. We chose the name as a reminder of our mission: to create something beautiful and functional, while helping others move from shadow to light — even in small ways.

Bags with purpose

We’re proud to give 1% of our earnings to help others — not through big charities, but through small, creative acts of giving that make a real difference. It's our way of honoring where we came from, and paying forward the values our parents taught us: work hard, stay humble, help where you can.
