Our Story

Two Brothers, One Big Dream

Hey - we’re the two brothers behind Kuro. We were born in Mombasa, Kenya, raised on grit, big dreams, and the kind of parents who believed in working hard and helping others while you’re at it.

Growing up, we didn’t have much - but we had imagination. We didn’t know it then, but that curiosity would follow us across the world.

Fast-forward a few years: we moved to Canada, juggling jobs, school, and the immigrant grind. Late shifts, early mornings, packing orders in our bedrooms - the whole thing. But somewhere between the chaos and homesickness, we promised ourselves something:

If we ever built something of our own, it would be with intention, heart, and impact.

Kuro was our leap. Not funded, not inherited - built slowly, one paycheck at a time, with designs sketched at kitchen tables and samples shipped to cramped basements that doubled as our warehouse.

We wanted to create products that felt like us: thoughtful, useful, a little ambitious, and built to last. Essentials that make you proud of what you carry - and who you’re becoming.

And because of how we were raised, giving back isn’t a marketing line for us - it’s a non-negotiable. A portion of every order goes toward small acts of kindness that make a real difference. Not big charity campaigns, human-to-human impact. The way our parents taught us.

We’re still small. Still learning. Still dreaming bigger than we should.

But if you choose to support us, just know it means the world. Truly.

From our family to yours, thank you for being part of the journey.
